Hey, sorry I haven't had a chance to reply - just finished my exams.
It's funny you ask how I do my deviants when it was your profile that inspired me in the first place.
It's super flattering and I'm really thankful
Now back to the blood
(Note all of my work is done in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014)
-Bullet Entry Wound-
-start with figuring out where you want to place the shots and place a black dot in that area
-while that layer is selected go to the Fx button at the bottom and start with Bevel & Emboss
-Style: Outer Bevel -Technique: Smooth -Direction: Down
-Play around with Depth, Size and Soften as well as the lighting to make it just right for the picture you're using
-Apply Contour as well if it works in the picture.
-The wound will look like its tunneling into her. (Looks silly at this point but that is why layering is your friend)
-You are now done with the Bevel & Emboss tab now apply your Inner Glow. I used the colour
#86172f on mine.
-Again on the same layer I added an Outer Glow using the colour #960404 and brought down the opacity.
-You are now done with this layer
_This next layer is going to show you how I created the ripped flesh effect.
-I sample the colour of the models flesh and use the brush tool to draw around the black dot I created earlier.
-No need to be perfect, its ripped flesh. It will not be a perfect circle
-Go to the Fx tab again while having this new layer selected and apply Bevel & Emboss again
-Style: Inner Bevel -Technique: Chisel hard -Direction: Up
-Now for the beads of blood
-I usually just choose a dark red colour and draw along the curves of the model
-I then take the smudge tool which will blend and smooth the appearance
